Call for entries
Deadline: 7 March 2012

The 8th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival DOCVILLE will take place from April 27th until May 5th. In a week time over 70 to 80 documentary films will be screened in 5 different venues in the beautiful city of Leuven (Belgium).

The festival programme contains an elaborate national and international competition where 3 jury awards will be granted (The Jury Award for Best International Documentary, the Jury Award for Best Belgian Documentary and the Con-science International Jury Award) and 1 audience award.

A number of non-competitive sections complete the festival programme. In co-operation with the national broadcaster CANVAS the festival will explore the possibilities, challenges and advantages of the interactive documentary.

Since a number of films will be presented for the first time at DOCVILLE, many filmmakers and producers will be present to attend the screenings and introduce their films to the audience. As always, DOCVILLE does not only present documentary films, it’s also a place for encounters, discussions, debates and information sessions.
