On Friday, May 1st, 2015, the 11th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival DOCVILLE, the largest documentary film festival in Belgium, kicks off. For 9 days, the audience can enjoy a large selection of brand new documentary films and a series of events, debates, Q&A’s and conferences.

Since many years, DOCVILLE organises a national and international competition. Filmmakers who want to submit a film can do so now. Check the DOCVILLE-website for the entryform and regulations.

General rules & regulations

Deadline for entry is March 1st, 2015.
No entry fee is asked
Films must be submitted on DVD or via DOWNLOADABLE link (Wetransfer, Yousendit, Vimeo, …) in a common video format (H264 in a mp4 or m2ts container is preferred).
DVDs must be sent with the following statement: “Without commercial value, for cultural purposes only.”
The festival will not return DVDs; they will be stored in the festival video archive.
Submissions via online link should be provided in a way the festival can download and store these video files in their archives. The link you provide may NOT expire before May 10th, 2015.
Submitting your film means accepting we include the film’s DVD (or downloaded file) in the festival video archive.
Submitted films can’t be withdrawn from competitive sections.
