CYBERFEST’s 2012 curatorial committee announces its OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS SUBMISSIONS.
For the 6th Annual Edition, curators have chosen to explore the idea of future through art and technology with the theme, “AT HEAVENS DOOR”. Open to interpretation, the exhibits, events and performances selected will explore the present physicality of international New Media and the direction it is pioneering. www.cyberfest.ru

ABOUT:
CYBERFEST is Russia’s largest annual New Media art event. In past years, CYBERFEST was held across St Petersburg’s top institutions: The State Hermitage Museum, Peter and Paul Fortress, KURYOKHIN MODERN ART CENTER, POLIGRAF Art Hall, Borey Gallery, and the Gallery of Experimental Sound.
CYBERFEST is organized by CYLAND MediaLab, one of Russia’s most active New Media art nonprofit organizations. CYLAND houses the largest archive of Eastern European video art online, runs a residency program and organizes exhibits around the world. CYLAND strengths the art and technology community by building opportunities and support between the global art world and Eastern Europe.

CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR “AT HEAVEN’S DOOR”:

Eligibility:

All genres and forms of New Media are encouraged to apply. This includes but is not restricted to works that combine Art and Technology including: Video or Sound, Interactive, Web-based, Robotics or Biotechnology based Artworks…

Any proposed artwork must already be completed, functioning and exhibit ready.
