CologneOFF 2011 – videoart in a global context<\/strong>
\nfestival project – simultaneously online and in physical space
\n1 January – 31 December 2011.<\/p>\n

CologneOFF 2011<\/strong> – videoart in a global context
\nis a world wide unique festival project, starting on 1 January 2011 and lasting until 31 December 2011.
\nWhile the festival project will be completed afterwards, the physical presentations may run at least until 2013.<\/p>\n

Its goal is to show during one year in many venues around the globe the diversity of the creative potential of “art and moving images” transported via the global medium of “video”.<\/p>\n

The videos can be submitted only online. Selected works will be featured on CologneOFF individually online and will become later in 2011 the 7th edition of CologneOFF – Cologne International Videoart Festival.<\/p>\n

\n– Welcome are videos by film and videomakers from all countries on the globe
\n– Themes: essential questions of human existence, the festival project is looking for innovative and experimental approaches in dealing with contents and technology
\n– The full-length films\/videos may originate from the years 2004-2011.
\n– Excerpts of videos or films are not accepted!!
\n– Duration: max 10 minutes
\n– Max 3 films\/videos can be submitted.
\n– Productions using language and\/or text other than English need English subtitles.
\n– The preview copy should preferably be made available online for review and\/or download
\n– elegible: only Quicktime . mov, Windows Media .wmv or Flash video flv (size minimum 640\u00c3\u2014480 px)
\n– if no own website is available, alternatively the film can be submitted via an upload\/download service, for instance, SENDSPACE – www.sendspace.com<\/a> -or PANDO – www.pando.com<\/a> – both are free upload services , after upload please send the link, and CologneOFF will download the film then.

After selection the artists\/directors will be invited to send a hardcopy of the selected video on DVD in best screening quality.<\/p>\n
