Located in the Sant Mart\u00c3\u00ad district of Barcelona, \u00e2\u20ac\u2039\u00e2\u20ac\u2039Piramid\u00c3\u00b3n is a space created in 1990 with the will to provide the necessary infrastructure for the development of the work of the different artist who are part of it.<\/p>\n
With this open call without any deadline, Piramid\u00c3\u00b3n, offers the opportunity to enter as an artist in residency in one of the eighteen studios of the center. Not only in one of the two temporary studios (from three to six months) but also in one of the sixteen permanent ones.<\/p>\n

Since its founding, Piramid\u00c3\u00b3n has aimed to support artists in the face of instabilities in the art market as well as offering adequate spaces for their needs. It is about to provide the necessary facilities in order to favor the development of their artistic careers.<\/p>\n
With thirty years of history, Isidre Bohigas (president) and Marc Comerma and Josep Alavedra (advisors) decided to launch this ambitious project as well as starting the Piramid\u00c3\u00b3n art collection. <\/p>\n
Hybrid space between creation factory and art gallery, Piramid\u00c3\u00b3n merges the field of artistic production with the field of dissemination, exhibition and sale of works of art.<\/p>\n
From the beginning, the center is based on the promotion and exhibition of contemporary art and its most diverse languages. The aim is to bring contemporary art closer to the general public. Not only with the ones who want to establish a first contact with this world, but also the ones who want to expand their collection.<\/p>\n
The main difference between Piramid\u00c3\u00b3n and the rest of the art galleries is the possibility of visiting the different exhibitions as well as having the chance to meet and having a direct contact with the artists in their creative spaces.<\/p>\n

This open call is intended for those artists who are looking for a working (temporary or permanent) space in the city of Barcelona.<\/p>\n
The art center of Piramid\u00c3\u00b3n has a total of 18 studios, characterized for their brightness and tranquility. 16 of them are for artists in residency, without necessarily pre-defined time, who are living and working in Barcelona. The other 2 are offered to non-resident Barcelona artists, with a temporary stay from 3 to 6 months.<\/p>\n
