For the 8th year,
\nCh\u00c3\u00a2teau \u00c3\u2030ph\u00c3\u00a9m\u00c3\u00a8re Residencies is launching its call for applications “Digital Arts, Sound Art & New Writings” for the 2022_2023 season.<\/p>\n

All projects which simultaneously make use of new digital uses as well as sound and musical creation in their production process are eligible. <\/p>\n

12 projects will be selected to carry out a one-month residency at Ch\u00c3\u00a2teau \u00c3\u2030ph\u00c3\u00a9m\u00c3\u00a8re including:<\/p>\n

The provision of a creative space
\n Accommodation
\n Technical park access
\n a grant of \u00e2\u201a\u00ac500 (taxes included) \/ project.
\n Finally, as part of our partnership with the P\u00c3\u00a9pini\u00c3\u00a8res Europ\u00c3\u00a9ennes de Cr\u00c3\u00a9ation, one or two additional grants, worth \u00e2\u201a\u00ac500 (taxes included) each, will be awarded to one or two winning projects. Diffusion opportunities in Belgium could also be considered with their partner Transcultures, Center for digital and sound cultures based in Wallonia.<\/p>\n

Set in a patrimonial landmark in the French Yvelines
\n(78), Ch\u00c3\u00a2teau \u00c3\u2030ph\u00c3\u00a9m\u00c3\u00a8re opened 8 years ago and is now
\na place dedicated to digital creation and specialized
\nin sound innovation in all its forms. Its objectives are
\nthreefold:
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 To offer residency opportunities to digital artists, de-
\nvelopers and all other digital creators.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 To promote and share with the public new prac-
\ntices of creation linked to technological innovation,
\nthrough our artistic programming and a wide range of
\nworkshops open to everyone, regardless of age or qua-
\nlifications.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 To open a pleasant place revolving around a caf\u00c3\u00a9, a
\nrestaurant and the digital open-source culture.
\nThe project, supported by the Communaut\u00c3\u00a9 Urbaine du
\nGrand Paris Seine et Oise and the R\u00c3\u00a9gion Ile de France,
\nwas initiated by Usines \u00c3\u2030ph\u00c3\u00a9m\u00c3\u00a8res and Musiques et Culture Digitales.<\/p>\n

As part of its artist-in-residence program, Ch\u00c3\u00a2teau
\n\u00c3\u2030ph\u00c3\u00a9m\u00c3\u00a8re launches its call for applications, which
\naims at supporting digital and sound art creation.<\/p>\n

eligibility
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Every project involving innovative digital practices and sound art in its creation process is eligible.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Projects can be submitted by an artist, a collective and a producing or distribution organization.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 The jury will pay particular attention to projects that :
\n1 – develop actions destined to the local population (workshops, meetings, etc).
\n2 – reflect on ecology, whether through the choice of materials used in the conception of the creation and\/or
\nthrough the subject of the project developed in residence.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Every residency session can lead to a public performance.<\/p>\n

condition of stay
\nEach one of the 12 selected projects will be hosted for
\n1 month between September 2022 and July 2023.
\nOur support includes:
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 The provision of a working space, accommodations,
\nand full access to Ch\u00c3\u00a2teau \u00c3\u2030ph\u00c3\u00a9m\u00c3\u00a8re\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s technical
\nequipment (download here the technical inventory).
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Projects holders will also benefit from the expertise
\nof our technical director as well as our fabmanager de-
\npending on their availability.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Laureates will also receive a \u00e2\u201a\u00ac500 grant (taxes in-
\ncluded).
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Within the framework of our partnership with the P\u00c3\u00a9-
\npini\u00c3\u00a8res Europ\u00c3\u00a9ennes de Cr\u00c3\u00a9ation, one or two additio-
\nnal grants, worth \u00e2\u201a\u00ac500 (taxes included) each, will be
\nattributed to one or two projects. Opportunities for
\ndiffusion in Belgium may also be envisaged with our
\npartner Transcultures, a center for digital and sound
\ncultures based in Wallonia.

\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 1 Writer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Room of 42m2
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 1 FabLab (shared space)<\/p>\n

Ch\u00c3\u00a2teau \u00c3\u2030ph\u00c3\u00a9m\u00c3\u00a8re provides for the possibility of hosting, outside the quota, several projects that would present
\nstrong synergies with the artistic line of the place under the same conditions except for the allocation of the
\nproduction grant.
