The 17th edition of SIMULTAN Festival will take place between 10 – 18 September 2022 in Timi\u00c8\u2122oara, Romania and aims to channel ideas and generate new perspectives in the context of the (post) global pandemic and its consequences, as well as the reverberations caused by the war in Ukraine, actively elaborating through artistic and theoretical productions themes and subjects such as the future and the potential of art in a period of massive transformations.<\/p>\n

The title of the 2022 edition, The Changing and The Indeterminate, aims to memorize, explore and build on this state of transition through speculative reflection, a type of heuristic simulation as a conscious reactivation of past behavior stored in memory.

SIMULTAN is an annual festival dedicated to interdisciplinary arts \u00e2\u20ac\u201c emerging media projects, experimental music and audio-visual and sound projects, in order to support new forms of artistic expression. The festival hosts annual live audio-visual performances, video art screenings, exhibitions, conferences and workshops.<\/p>\n

NO ENTRY FEE<\/strong><\/p>\n

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
\nThe call is open for worldwide emerging and established artists, new authors and\/or students. We are looking for submissions of innovative video works related to the festival motto, produced in the last two years (2020-2022).<\/p>\n

TYPE OF WORKS
\nVideo\/experimental video; narrative; digital\/generative, documentary\/experimental documentary; motion graphics\/experimental animation<\/p>\n

DURATION
\n10 minutes max.<\/p>\n

AWARDS
\nWe will award four video works (two Romanian artists and two International artists) with a 250 Euro artist fee.<\/p>\n
