\nArt in Motion: The Rhythm of Inquiry -Unfolding New Narratives<\/p>\n
Inspired by the vision of nodoCCS and its founders, Diana Rangel and Maria Bilbao\u00b7Herrera two Venezuelan artists, this initiative invites artists to submit video works that dissolve the distinctions between genres and disciplines, merging visual art, performance, and digital media into cohesive expressions.<\/p>\n
Based in Caracas, Venezuela, nodoCCS aims to cultivate a vibrant dialogue through dynamic audiovisual experiences that challenge perceptions and foster connections, merging creative expression, critical thought, and self-exploration. We celebrate the fluidity of identity and shared experiences, inviting artists to reflect on their own connections to sound and movement, using poetry, sound, and silence as forms of resistance and softness.<\/p>\n
We encourage submissions that envision new possibilities for our world, challenging conventional narratives and exploring the unseen connections between diverse realities\u2014social, personal, technological, and ecological.<\/p>\n
Key Areas of Focus:<\/p>\n
Spatial Poetics: Examine how both physical and digital environments shape artistic expression, considering the effects of virtual spaces on creativity and community engagement.<\/p>\n
Sound as a Catalyst: Investigate the role of sound in shaping experiences, identities, and spaces. Consider how rhythm, silence, noise, and spoken word can serve as vehicles for resistance, healing, and reimagining the world.<\/p>\n
Speculative Futures \u2013 Works that envision alternative realities, exploring themes of utopia, dystopia, and the speculative intersections of technology, society, and culture.<\/p>\n
Submission Guidelines:<\/p>\n
– Eligibility: Open to all artists; no restrictions on background or experience.
\n-Duration: Videos should be a maximum of 8 minutes.
\n– Language: Spanish or English subtitles are required if necessary.
\n– Deadline: Open call opens March closes August 2025<\/p>\n
