MADATAC’05
\nVIDEOART & NEW MEDIA AUDIO-VISUAL ART <\/p>\n


\nSpain and International\/ It is left open without restrictions a
\ncall to select, by means of a criteria in which will be valued
\nparticularly the experimentation, the innovation and the risk,
\nthe creations of all those audio-visual artists who wish that
\ntheir works are part of the TRANSMADATAC project. This
\nproject is dedicated to divulge Video Art and Audio Visual-Art in
\nall its modalities, any processes of image-sound interaction
\nwithout exclusion of experimental-expanded cinema, with the
\naim to disclose to the great public a view of the consolidated
\nvideo artists and offer a platform for all those emergent video
\nartists with a future projection who contribute with renewing
\nproposals, avoid conventional visual language and does not find
\ntheir place in other mass media spaces. All the received
\nmaterial will enter, unless the authors express the contrary, in
\nthe selection for the V Edition of MADATAC, the Contemporary
\nAudio-Visual & New Media Arts Festival, that Transfera Media
\nArts will organize in December 2013 in Madrid, Spain. This
\nevent will serve to prize the best videos among the ones
\nselected by an international jury.<\/p>\n

\n(Official International Competitive Section)
\nFive awards of a cutting-edge sculpture, with the internacional
\nartistic and professional recognition implicit in receiving this
\nalready prestigious award, besides forming part of the works
\nselected to represent MADATAC in diverse worldwide special
\nprograms and events.<\/p>\n

\n.BEST VISUAL-AURAL INTERACTION AWARD
\n.SPECIAL AUDIENCE AWARD (voted by the festival audiences)<\/p>\n

VIDEOSPAIN AWARDS
\nMADATAC and the auction house, Subastas Segre will select
\ntwo\/three of the pieces from the competition section to be
\nsold at a public auction at Calle Segre 18, Madrid on February\/
\nMarch 2014. The works will be exhibited from the first week of
\nthe same month. The starting price will be fixed by the auction
\nhouse for editions of 3 copies on DVD. Artists will receive the
\nfinal sale price less a percentage commission for administration
\nand sale fees.<\/p>\n

METR\u00c3\u201cPOLIS SELECTION
\nThe well-known TV programme, Metr\u00c3\u00b3polis (shown on Channel
\n2 of Spanish public television) will select works from the
\nOfficial International Section which will be shown in a special
\nprogramme dedicated to MADATAC to be broadcast after the
\nfestival on TVE2.<\/p>\n

. There are not restrictions for the age of the participants, nor
\nfor the amount of material desired to send.
\n. The participants must send their works, preferable not to
\nexceed the 20\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 although we made exceptions if the video merits
\nit, in mpeg, mov or similar files (at least 720×576 16:9
\nresolution, preferably HD, on a dvd, small hard disk or pen
\ndrive), with quality for broadcasting, mandatory Spanish
\nsubtitles if there are words, text or dialog in another language,
\ntwo jpg stills of the video, a brief CV and a filled and signed
\nform agreement for broadcast permission.
\n. The interested can also send a brief promotional video
\nstatement about themselves and their work (not more than 4\u00e2\u20ac\u2122).
\n. There is no criteria as to the subject of the works, (we accept
\nvideo art, digital art, computer art, media art, live cinema,
\nfound footage, video installation, audio-visual performance,
\nhuman-machine interaction, technological art creation, bio-art,
\netc) though the IV edition of MADATAC will give preponderance
\nto the concept: TRANSMORPH REALITY
\n. The submitted and selected works will not be shown or
\nrewarded in any other festival or event that take place 6
\nmonths before in the Community of Madrid and 3
\nbefore in the internacional arena, or during the celebration of
\nMADATAC, in order to maintain some exclusivity of the work.
\n. The organization cannot return the sent material.
\n. This year deadline (post stamped) is June 28th, 2013.
\n. Participation in this project implies the acceptance of all its
\nrules.
