Artists working with “art moving images” are invited to join the celebrations of the 10th anniversary by submitting their most exxiting works experimenting with new forms of representations.<\/p>\n

\n“Total Art”<\/p>\n

Founded in 2006, Cologne International Videoart Festival is celebrating in 2014 its 10th festival edition
\nDuring 10 years, CologneOFF was supporting “art & moving images” and encourage artists to use this exciting medium creatively.<\/p>\n

“TOTAL ART”<\/strong>
\nCologneOFF X ist standing under the theme of “Total Art”, showing video as a multi-facetted artistic audio-visual medium,
\nwhich is executed solely by its creator or a group of collaborating artists, including filming, cutting, editing, composing, post-priducing etc, thus the whole creation in one single hand.
\nThe digitalization of video made it only possible, that artists can create such a “total art” work, due to the affordability of the entire production. It is not even necessary to have the most advanced professional equipment. A creative person can use even cheap production tools for creating excellent art works.<\/p>\n

But, “Total Art” is not only related to the creative production of a video, but also to the artistic contents, encouraging submitting artists to use all their creativity to go steps forward in exploring the artistic potential of video.<\/p>\n

CologneOFF X<\/strong> is
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u201c looking for art works using video as a medium in all its variety, but for submitting only single channel videos are eligible, a hybrid type of work which can be used for different presentation forms like screening, projection and installation.
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u201c expecting new and experimental artistic approaches in transforming essential issues of human existence into the language of the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153moving images\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.
\n– inviting film & video creators \u00e2\u20ac\u201c to submit up to 3 videos (max duration 10 minutes, exceptions possible)) in following categories \u00e2\u20ac\u201c->
\n(experimenta forms of ) film \u00e2\u20ac\u201c videoart \u00e2\u20ac\u201c documentary, whereby animated and very short (60 seconds) forms are particularly encouraged<\/p>\n

Fundado en 2006, “Cologne International Videoart Festival” celebra en 2014 la d\u00c3\u00a9cima edici\u00c3\u00b3n de su festival. Durante 10 a\u00c3\u00b1os, CologneOFF sustent\u00c3\u00b3 “art & moving images” y alent\u00c3\u00b3 a los artistas a utilizar este fascinante medio de manera creativa.
\nPara “Cologne International Videoart Festival”, CologneOFF X representa la edici\u00c3\u00b3n final del festival, luego del cual, “Cologne International Videoart Festival” continuar\u00c3\u00a1 bajo la forma de una exhibici\u00c3\u00b3n de “artvideoKOELN international” en el marco de sus actividades globales de “art & moving images”.<\/p>\n

“TOTAL ART”
\nCologneOFF X se desarrolla bajo el lema de “Arte Total”, mostrando el video como un medio art\u00c3\u00adstico y audiovisual multifac\u00c3\u00a9tico, ejecutado \u00c3\u00adntegramente por su creador, incluyendo la filmaci\u00c3\u00b3n, corte, edici\u00c3\u00b3n, composici\u00c3\u00b3n, post-producci\u00c3\u00b3n, etc; es decir, la creaci\u00c3\u00b3n completa en manos de un solo artista.
\nLa digitalizaci\u00c3\u00b3n del video hace posible que los artistas puedan crear tal obra de “Arte Total”, ya que la producci\u00c3\u00b3n entera se hace abordable. No es necesario poseer el equipo profesional m\u00c3\u00a1s avanzado. Una persona creativa puede usar incluso herramientas de producci\u00c3\u00b3n muy baratas y a\u00c3\u00ban as\u00c3\u00ad crear excelentes obras.
\nPero el “Arte Total”, no s\u00c3\u00b3lo se refiere a la producci\u00c3\u00b3n creativa de video, sino a los contenidos art\u00c3\u00adsticos, alentando a los artistas a enviar obras que usen toda su creatividad, avanzando en la exploraci\u00c3\u00b3n del potencial art\u00c3\u00adstico del video.<\/p>\n

\n– Busca obras art\u00c3\u00adsticas que usen el video como medio en toda su variedad, pero se seleccionar\u00c3\u00a1n videos de un solo canal, una obra h\u00c3\u00adbrida que pueda ser utilizada para diferentes formas de presentaci\u00c3\u00b3n tales como exhibici\u00c3\u00b3n en pantalla, proyecci\u00c3\u00b3n e instalaci\u00c3\u00b3n.
\n– Espera enfoques art\u00c3\u00adsticos nuevos y experimentales que transformen las cuestiones esenciales de la existencia humana en el lenguaje de las “im\u00c3\u00a1genes en movimiento”. Films experimentales – video-arte – documentales, prefiri\u00c3\u00a9ndose en especial los formatos animados y muy cortos (60 segundos).

\n– “Theme”: “TOTAL ART” .The festival is looking for innovative and experimental approaches in dealing with contents and technology
\n– The full-length films\/videos may originate from the years 2005-2014. Excerpts of videos or films are not accepted!!
\n– Duration: 60 seconds up to max 10 minutes (exceptions possible on request)
\n– Max 3 films\/videos can be submitted.
\n– Creations using language and\/or text other than English need English subtitles.
\n– The preview copy should be uploaded for download by using the free upload platforms like SENDSPACE www.sendspace.com<\/a> (up to 300 MB) or WE TRANSFER www.wetransfer.com<\/a> (up to 2GB), after upload please send the link, and CologneOFF will download the film then.
\n– for review only following video formats are eligible – minimum size–> 720×576 (PAL) or 720×480 (NTSC)or HD:
\n .mpeg2 (DVD), . mov (Quicktime, H264 codec only), .mp4, .wmv (Windows Media), .flv (Flash video)
\n– only selected artists will be notified and invited to send a hardcopy of the selected video in best screening quality.<\/p>\n
