{"id":5944,"date":"2014-01-18T18:43:16","date_gmt":"2014-01-18T17:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmartproject.net\/netex\/?p=5944"},"modified":"2014-01-18T18:43:16","modified_gmt":"2014-01-18T17:43:16","slug":"call-sonic-arts-award-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/netex.nmartproject.net\/?p=5944","title":{"rendered":"call: Sonic Arts Award 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Call for entries<br \/>\n<strong>Deadline: 10 February 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SONIC ARTS AWARD 2014 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c SECOND EDITION [ Ex PIARS \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Premio Internazionale di Arti Sonore ]\n<p>CALL FOR SOUND ART \/ SONIC RESEARCH \/ SOUNDSCAPES \/ DIGITAL ART<\/p>\n<p>EXTENDED DEADLINE UNTIL 10th of FEBRUARY 2014<\/p>\n<p>The Sonic Arts Award is aimed at the production and promotion of sonic arts at an international level.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Sonic Arts Award will assign a cash prize to the winning project of each of the four categories.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sound Art \u00e2\u201a\u00ac1,000.00<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sonic Research \u00e2\u201a\u00ac1,000.00<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Soundscapes \u00e2\u201a\u00ac1,000.00<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Digital Art \u00e2\u201a\u00ac1,000.00<\/p>\n<p>+ 1 Label Prize: the Fratto9 records will select 1 (one) artist from among all participants for the publication of a CD as part of its catalogue. www.fratto9.com<\/p>\n<p>+ 1 Art Residency: the Cardelli &#038; Fontana Gallery in Sarzana (Italy) will host a sound artist among the participants for a artistic residency during the summer 2014. www.cardelliefontana.com<\/p>\n<p>The registration fee is \u00e2\u201a\u00ac 25.00 for the first piece of work entered and \u00e2\u201a\u00ac 15.00 for each subsequent work. <\/p>\n<p>Extended deadline until 10th of February 2014, utilising the procedure outlined at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sonicartsaward.it\">www.sonicartsaward.it<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All registration feed must be paid in full no later than 20 January 2014.<\/p>\n<p>All submissions will be subject to a phase of pre-selection by an Organising Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-selected works will be evaluated by an international jury based on criteria of sound research, quality, originality and compositional technique. <\/p>\n<p>There is no specific theme but each work must necessarily fall into one of the four award categories of the 2014 edition.<\/p>\n<p>The international jury members are:<\/p>\n<p>Sound Art: Christina Kubisch (GER), Steve Roden (USA), Herman Kolgen (CAN)<\/p>\n<p>Sonic Research: Felix Kubin (GER), David Grubbs (USA), Alain Mongeau (CAN)<\/p>\n<p>Soundscapes: Alvin Curran (USA), Alessandro Bosetti (ITS), Barry Truax (CAN)<\/p>\n<p>Digital Art: Atau Tanaka (JAP) Usman Hauque (GB)<\/p>\n<p>All works will be evaluated by the jury under strict rules of anonymity.
