www.goshort.nl\/submit<\/a><\/p>\nThe Go Short festival team has started preparing its seventh edition, which will take place in Nijmegen,
\nthe Netherlands. Go Short is the only Dutch film festival that screens short films exclusively. For five
\ndays around 300 short films are screened in various locations. Besides screenings there are exhibitions,
\nworkshops, performances, parties and more!<\/p>\n
We are now accepting new film submissions for our various competitions. All shorts completed after
\n1 December 2013 are eligible to compete in our competition. We will be selecting films for our European,
\nDutch and Student Competitions.<\/p>\n
Competitions and awards
\nGo Short accepts short films in all genres for its competition programs (animation, documentary,
\nfiction\/live-action and experimental\/art film). Films that are selected for the European Competition are
\neligible for the Go Short Award for Best Short in each genre. The national short films will be competing
\nfor the Go Short Award for Best Dutch Short.<\/p>\n
One of the student films will be awarded with the Go Short Encouragement Award for Best European
\nStudent Short. This competition will be selected by Breaking Ground, the platform for European student
\nfilms. Besides the awards per competition, all films will also be in the running for the Go Short Audience
\nAward which will be chosen by the audience during the festival.
\nIn 2014 the total award money amounted to \u00e2\u201a\u00ac14.000.<\/p>\n
Deadlines<\/p>\n
– 1 September 2014 for films completed between 1 December 2013 and April 2014.
\n– 21 November 2014 for all films completed in 2014.
\n– 19 December 2014 for films that will have their international or world premiere during Go Short.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
1) Films must be completed after 1 December 2013.
\n2) The maximum running time is 40 minutes.
\n3) The origin of the film must be (geographical) Europe, the director is European or the film
\nwas mainly financed by an European country.<\/p>\n
Requested materials for entry:<\/p>\n
A completed online entry form. A printed version is not required.
\n An URL where the film can be watched online.
\n A downloadable file of the film: maximum bitrate 5000 kbps, preferred resolution of 1280*720,
\n H264 \/ mpeg4 codec, not larger than 1 gb total, the file name contains the English title.<\/p>\n
