\nis another physical manifestation of
\n“Draft Title: Shoah”
\nfeaturing Collective Trauma Film Collections
\nhttp:\/\/sfc.engad.org\/video\/<\/a>
\nhttp:\/\/avmci.a-virtual-memorial.org<\/a>
\nincluding a symposium and events at different venues
\ninitiated and coordinated by Wilfried Agricola de Cologne,<\/p>\n

based on the international initiative adressed to young
\naudio-visual artists to deal with SHOAH and collective trauma
\nby using new technologies in order to keep vivid the memory of the collective trauma
\nand humanity by sensitizing the people via art.<\/p>\n

The non-visual medium of soundart has a particular potential
\nto express affection via a wide range of soundtools.<\/p>\n

SoundLAB has been an active project environment between 2004 and 2010
\nfeaturing each year another edition of soundart online – in total 7 editions –
\nsee also http:\/\/soundlab.newmediafest.org<\/a><\/p>\n

For the purpose of an extended online project of
\n“Draft Title: Shoah” – http:\/\/dts.engad.org<\/a>
\nSoundLAB would like to re-activate its activities
\nfor this important event in Duesseldorf (Germany) exactly one year ahead in 2015.<\/p>\n

Soundartists from all over the world are invited
\nto submit a sound piece dealing with collective trauma.
\nThere is no need to go back 70 years ago, but collective trauma
\nhappens every day before our very eyes in the media
\nwhether via desasters of nature, genocides,
\nthe refugees persecuted and expelled from their home countries
\nin Africa or Middle East,. collective trauma is currently toucning
\neveryone’s life more or less dramatically.
\nSo, it is more than worth to express one’s feelings and emotions via
\nartistic media like soundart.<\/p>\n

Diffently, than in previous editions, there is the option available to
\nperform the submitted soundart piece in physcial space during the event in Duesseldorf.<\/p>\n

Regulations<\/strong>
\nfor sound compositions to be submitted<\/p>\n

Soundartists and composers using sonic art for their artistic expression
\nare invited to submit one single piece of soundart no longer than 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

1. Theme: collective trauma & identity
\n2.. one single piece of soundart may be submitted
\n3. exclusive soundformat: mp3
\n4. duration: minimum 3 min, maximum 10 min (longer works possible, but only on request)
\n5. each submission has to accompanied by an artists statement
\nabout the creation of the sound work, used tools & concepts
\n6. the artist\/author keeps all rights on the submitted soundwork and statement
\n7. the digital file has to be submitted via wetransfer – www.wetransfer.com<\/a>
\n8. the complete entry form including the requested info material
\nartist bio and statement has to be submitted via email as plain email
\n9. deadline 30 June 2015
