{"id":6164,"date":"2014-12-12T19:31:29","date_gmt":"2014-12-12T18:31:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmartproject.net\/netex\/?p=6164"},"modified":"2015-02-07T11:16:04","modified_gmt":"2015-02-07T10:16:04","slug":"call-videoart-moscow-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/netex.nmartproject.net\/?p=6164","title":{"rendered":"call: Videoart Festival Moscow 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\nFestival<\/ul>\n<p>Call for entries<br \/>\n<strong>Deadline: 31 January 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>International Video Art Festival NOW &#038; AFTER\u00e2\u20ac\u212215.<\/p>\n<p>The topic is  A SPACE WE CHOOSE.<br \/>\nDeadline: January 31, 2015, 17:00 MSK (13:00 GMT)<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The fifth edition of the Festival will take place at the Schusev State Museum of Architecture from April 21 till June 21, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Space is at the same time a philosophic category, our everyday reality and a basic concept in architecture.<\/p>\n<p>But what kind of space is more interesting for artists? <\/p>\n<p>    A space existing in close relation with time \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the Chronotope (from Greek \u00cf\u2021\u00cf\u0081\u00cf\u0152\u00ce\u00bd\u00ce\u00bf\u00cf\u201a, \u00c2\u00abtime\u00c2\u00bb and \u00cf\u201e\u00cf\u0152\u00cf\u20ac\u00ce\u00bf\u00cf\u201a, \u00c2\u00abspace\u00c2\u00bb) or a space as an expansion?<\/p>\n<p>    A microcosm or outer space? <\/p>\n<p>    A space of our homes or immense spaces around?<\/p>\n<p>    Our personal space that we keep closed for everybody or another person&#8217;s space that is kept closed for us?<\/p>\n<p>    Is it social or cultural space?<\/p>\n<p>    Virtual space: living within it, living with it or living without it?<\/p>\n<p>    Space as emptiness or space as a receptacle?<\/p>\n<p>    Architectural space vs. natural landscapes?<\/p>\n<p>    Space in Cartesian system of axes vs. space within the coordinates system of past, present and future?<\/p>\n<p>In year 2015 the festival is being held at the Schusev State Museum of Architecture, in the unique space of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Ruin\u00e2\u20ac\u009d wing \u00e2\u20ac\u201c three-storeyed building created in the end of XVIII century by Russian architect M.F.Kazakov and now preserved in its disintegrating condition.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153The real material for architecture is space, not stone\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u201c a Russian architect Nikolay Ladovsky said. And it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s exactly an architectural space that we put in the center of our attention this year: cities and buildings, architectural ensembles and villages, a variety of architectural styles and a monotony of mass housing development, architecture of the future and the ruins of the remote or recent past.<\/p>\n<p>Participation Terms<br \/>\nThere is no entry fee.<br \/>\nAll rights on videos remain property of authors.<br \/>\nSubmitted videos must have been completed after January 1, 2012.<br \/>\nRunning time is up to 10 min.<br \/>\nEntry form must be completed online.<br \/>\nEach applicant may send maximum 3 submissions for single-channel videos.<br \/>\nAll the films selected for the competition program will be considered by the jury.<br \/>\nThe authors of the best films will be awarded.
