LICHTER ART AWARD 2015<\/p>\n
Dear artists and filmmakers,
\nyou are cordially invited to participate in the LICHTER ART AWARD 2015.
\nThe LICHTER Filmfest Frankfurt International has been celebrating local and international filmmaking since
\nits very early days in 2008. Besides a competition in the categories short and feature film, the festival
\npresents a high-quality program on contemporary video art.
\n<\/p>\n
The LICHTER ART AWARD is an international competition and exhibition, aiming to present the most
\ncontemporary, diverse and high-quality artistic works in the field of visual arts related to film. Accepted are
\nworks which use film and video as a primary media. The competition is open to visual artists, filmmakers and
\nstudents from art and film academies. To keep the high quality of the event, we want to make sure the works
\nsubmitted meet high professional standards. The LICHTER ART AWARD is not a laboratory – it is a
\nshowcase for finished works.
\nFive finalists\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 works will be exhibited throughout the festival period from 17th to 22th of March 2015. The
\nLICHTER ART AWARD winner is endowed with a 1.000 Euro prize for the best work. A jury of art experts will
\nselect the best works.
\nTERMS AND CONDITIONS
\nThe finished work must be submitted by January 25th, 2015.
\nThe competition entry form can be filled in electronically at

\nThe work should be not older than one year and be designed as a single-channel projection or a room
\ninstallation.
\nThe following information should be provided as a PDF – max. 5 pages – in this case sent to this e-mail:

\n– a project description
\n– a short artist biography
\n– a brief visual documentation of 3 previous works
\nIMPORTANT: We will accept all established formats. In case the work requires a special presentation format
\n(e.g. room installation); the LAA curator should be contacted in advance by e-mail. Only if it is not possible to
\nupload the entire work it should be sent by regular mail to the postal address below. Works sent by post will
\nnot be returned.
