In 2015<br \/>\nre:publica will take place in Berlin, Germany, from May 5th to May 7th.<br \/>\nUnlike other conferences which focus on social media marketing and the usual<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153show and tell\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of tools and projects, re:publica aims to bring together communities,<br \/>\nleading thinkers of our time with activists and engaged organizations to share<br \/>\nexperiences. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>With this year&#8217;s motto \/Finding Europe\/ <a href=\"https:\/\/re-publica.de\/en\/motto\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/re-publica.de\/en\/motto<\/a>,<br \/>\nthe coming re:publica has a special focus on the digital society of<br \/>\nour home continent with its great cultural, economic and political<br \/>\nrichness and diversity. We are particularly happy to receive<br \/>\nsubmissions matching the wide range of European topics and ideas, as<br \/>\nwell as many international applications. And of course, we are also<br \/>\ninterested in non-European perspectives on these topics as well as<br \/>\nother core re:publica topics like the digitization of politics and<br \/>\nmedia, future of news and broadcasting, etc.<\/p>\n<p>CALL FOR PAPERS<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s call for papers is open until January 31st. We are looking<br \/>\nfor creative, high-level talks, engaging discussions and hands-on<br \/>\nworkshops for our 2015 program. If you wish to contribute and be part of<br \/>\nre:publica then please take part in our call:<br \/>\n<a href=\" http:\/\/re-publica.de\/en\/call-papers\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\nhttp:\/\/re-publica.de\/en\/call-papers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Participating in the call does not require submitting a scientific<br \/>\nproposal. You can participate by filling out our online template which<br \/>\nasks for your topic, a brief description of the content, format<br \/>\n(lecture, discussion, workshop or action) as well as some information<br \/>\nabout you (name and previous experience).<\/p>\n<p>TOPICS<\/p>\n<p>re:publica addresses the question how digitization and new media impact society.<br \/>\nMain topics include the role of new media for political<br \/>\ncommunication and protest, changing media landscapes and trends in<br \/>\njournalism, DIY-cultures and net political topics such as  privacy, open<br \/>\ndata, open licensing, and Internet infrastructure and security.
