FIVA FIFTH EDITION
\nInternational Festival of Video Art
\nBuenos Aires, Argentina 2015
\n<\/p>\n

Conditions
\n1 – PARTICIPANTS:
\nArtists wishing to participate must be over 18 years old.
\n2 – WORKS:
\na) Each artist or group of artists may submit up to two works.
\nb) Video installations will not be accepted.
\nc) No works are accepted with a date prior to 2012.
\nd) The works may be submitted on DVD, AVI, MOV, MP4 or MPEG. The file
\nor DVD should be labeled with title, length and author.
\nYou can send a download link to the video file that can be found in any of
\nthe currently used standard formats (AVI, MOV, MP4 or MPG) and must be
\nencoded with any of the following codec: H.264 AVC or MPEG-4 MPEG 2-4.
\nWe recommend that the file does not exceed 1GB (one gigabyte) in size, for
\neasy downloading of the video.
\nIf you send a download link we recommend using the H.264 codec MP4
\nformat which allows high quality and low weight.
\ne) The recommended maximum duration of 20 minutes.
\nf) The theme will be free.
\ng) May not be submitted works that have been presented in previous
\neditions of FIVA
\nh) The video must be spoken or subtitled in Spanish
\n3 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c IS REQUIRED TO ACCOMPANY ALL WORKS:
\na) Application form signed by the artist (below these lines).
\nb) Biography professional of the artist or artists.
\nc) A brief synopsis of works.
\nd) Still digital image (jpg 300 dpi).
\n4 – ADMISSION:
\na) The jury is composed by: Nekane Aramburu (Spain), Brian
\nMackern (Uruguay) y Carlos Trilnick (Argentina).
\nb) All works will become part of files Festival for use in cultural
\nperformances, non-commercial purposes and as part of the event.
\nc) The selected works will be known to the authors via e-mail addresses
\nand the festival website.
\n5- DATE OF DELIVERY:
\nWorks can be submitted by postal mail, by download link or in person until
\nAugust 2 of 2015 (they shall refer to the date of postmark postal).
\n6 – SHIPPING ADDRESSES THE MATERIAL:

\nIt is recommended for works sent by postal from overseas, write on the

7- RETURNS:
\nWorks sent to the festival will not be returned to their authors. All works
\nwill become part of the projection equipment of the Festival and may be
\nsubmitted for cultural and \/ or educational purposes (in any case
\ncommercial) in the different samples to be organized throughout the year.
\n8- COMMENTS:
\nThe organization is not liable for any accidents that may affect the works.
\nThe organizers reserve the right the exhibition of the works that may be
\nharmful to human rights.
\nTaking part in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules.
\nNOTE: The omission or misrepresentation of any information requested
\ngenerated exclusion from the competition.
\nThe applications that are not complete will not be considered accepted.

\nAGREEMENT: The Video Art Festival FIVA Buenos Aires is a non profit
\nevent, signing his work for possible inclusion in the Festival implies
\nconformity with the bases thereof, and the transfer of copyrights and
\ndisplay the author of works relative to its projection, or in any activity of the
\nFestival as exhibitions, catalogs, videos, brochures and other promotional
\nmaterial only and exclusively in connection with the festival. The artist
\nassumes all responsibility for any third party for any claim concerning the
\nauthorship or originality of the work presented.
