INTRODUCTION<\/p>\n

inSONIC2015 – Conference – Symposium – Workshops – Concerts –
\nPerformances – Installations<\/p>\n

inSONIC2015 aims to create a platform for bringing together composers,
\nresearchers, artists as well as teachers and students who are
\ninterested in spatial audio, sound art and multichannel approaches in
\nmedia.<\/p>\n

The main focus of inSONIC2015 is a critical reflection on aesthetic
\nconcepts of spatial audio in sound, music and sound-art.
\ninSONIC2015 is hosted by ZKM and HfG and is part of the Globale 2015.<\/p>\n

There will be two conference and symposium\u00e2\u20ac\u00a9 days combined with
\nconcerts and installations.
\nThe main event is enhanced by a program of workshops, demonstrations
\nand tutorials taking place in the preceding days.<\/p>\n

inSONIC2015 is organized in the framework of the BWS plus-Project
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u017eStudynetwork Space-Media-Sound\u00e2\u20ac\u0153.
\nBWS plus is part of the Baden-W\u00c3\u00bcrttemberg-STIPENDIUM for university
\nstudents, a program of the Baden-W\u00c3\u00bcrttemberg Stiftung.<\/p>\n

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION \/ CALL FOR WORKS
\n=========================================<\/p>\n

inSONIC015 calls for academic and non academic contributrions and
\nworks which will be reviewed by panels.
\nWe invite submission in the following categories:
\nPapers and Posters
\nWorkshops and Tutorials\/Demonstrations
\nCompositions and Performances
\nInstallations<\/p>\n

+CALL FOR PAPERS AND POSTERS
\nWritten contributions should focus on the aesthetics and musical aspects of:
\nsounding objects in space
\nmotion and gesture in space
\napplication of novel spatialsation techniques for composition music
\nand improvisation
\ninteraction and control of sound and media in space
\nbenefits of spatial audio for electronic and acoustic sound and music
\ndevelopments in space simulating techniques such as WFS, HOA and
\ncombined systems
\nnon conventional speakers setups and diffusion techniques
\nTemplates for paper and poster proposals wil be available on the
\nsubmission site.<\/p>\n

+CALL FOR COMPOSITIONS AND PERFORMANCES
\nContributions in music and sound should have a focus on:
\nmultichannel compositions
\nmusic for a spherical speaker setup (Klangdome 43 speakers)
\nmusic for a linear Wave Field Synthesis system (128 speakers)
\nmusic for a mixed installation setup (The Morning Line)
\nmixed media works with audio requirements according to the above system
\nArtists of selected works will be invited for oral presentation or
\nround table discussions. Please indicate during submission your
\ninterest in aural presentation of your work.<\/p>\n
