GRAND OFF World Independent Short Film Awards Warsaw
\nis now accepting submissions for its 9th edition. Our festival will take place in
\nWarsaw, from 1st December to 5th December, 2015.<\/p>\n

The GRAND OFF is a short film festival that supports independent filmmakers and
\nfilm school students before their professional debut. We accept all genres, the
\nonly requirements is that films must be 45 minutes under in length and completed
\nafter 1st January, 2013.<\/p>\n

REGULATIONS OF
\nGRAND OFF WORLD INDEPENDENT SHORT FILM AWARDS
\n9TH EDITION, 1 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 5 DEC 2015, WARSAW<\/p>\n

Grand OFF World Independent Short Film Awards submission is open for:
\n– films submitted by independent filmmakers and film clubs
\n– films submitted by Academy Members
\n– films submitted by directors of our partner film festivals
\nAWARDS NOMINATIONS
\nNominations will be made by the Selection Committee in Warsaw. Academy Members will have the
\nright to indicate a film for nomination, which must be approved by the Selection Committee.

\nSubmission of the film to the competition means acceptance of the following regulations.

\nEvery film enters free of charge. All film genres are accepted.
\n\u00c2\u00a73
\nWe accept:
\n– films made after the 1st of January 2013
\n– films which were made without any professional production support (except for film schools)
\n– whose length does not exceed 45 minutes

\nFilm print must be properly packed in order to protect it against mechanical damages. If not
\nrespected, mechanical damage may lead to disqualification of the film.

\nFilm prints have to be marked with the filmmaker’s name, the film\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s title, its length, a contact email
\nand telephone number. All films must have English subtitles.

\nFilms accompanied by a properly filled out and signed Submission Entry Form (available in the
\nSUBMIT FILM section on the official Grand OFF website, www.grandoff.eu) must be sent by the 15th
\nof August 2015 to the following address:

\nFilms without a properly filled out and signed Submission Entry Form will be dismissed!

\nHaving submitted the film, the author accepts the organizers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 right to screen the film at the official
\nGrand OFF Awards Gala and any other screenings promoting Grand OFF World Independent Short
\nFilm Awards. Moreover, the entrant permits Grand OFF to use excerpts of any selected work of up to
\n60 seconds in length, for promotional purposes only.

\nSubmitting your entry, you certify that you are the legal and beneficial owner of all rights of copyright
\nin the material submitted. The contestant accepts all responsibility in this regard. The festival
\nreserves the right to reject a film on the basis of copyright infringement.

\nGrand OFF reserves the right to publish the email and telephone number for the primary contact and
\ndistributor of the films selected for the programme in the festival catalogue. The film maker\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s
\npersonal data may also be used for promotional purposes on television, on the internet, in
\nnewspapers and on the radio.
\nSELECTION PROCESS AND GRAND OFF WORLD INDEPENDENT SHORT FILM
\nAWARDS

\nSelected films will receive nominations for Grand OFF World Independent Short Film Awards in the
\nfollowing categories: directing, script, cinematography, editing, actor, actress, best feature film, best
\ndocumentary, best scenography and best costume, best animation. The list of the nominated films
\nwill be available on the Grand OFF website, www.grandoff.eu, on the 30th September 2015 at the
\nlatest.

\nThe submitted films will be evaluated by the professional Selection Committee, which will make the
\nnominations in the respective categories. The members of the Grand OFF Academy (more than 50
\nprofessionals from 25 countries from all over the world) will select the best pictures from among the
\nnominated ones.

\nThe authors of the nominated films are invited for the Awards Ceremony in Warsaw. The Organisers
\nwill provide accommodation and programme throughout the 4-day long Grand OFF festival. The
\nOrganizer does not cover travel expenses.

\nThe authors of the films cover the costs of sending the DVD copies to the Grand OFF. The Organizers
\ndo not return submitted DVD copies. All submitted competition entries will remain in the
\nOrganizer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s archives.

\nTechnical Data of the submitted films:
\n– digital copy of the film on a DVD (PAL) disc (DVD format and autostart) or mini DV
\n– 4:3 or 16:9 format
\n– English subtitles
\n– dialogue list
\nOne DVD should carry only one film. DVD should be marked as following: original title, english title,
\ndirector, running time, email address and telephone number.

\nAuthors of the nominated films are obliged to send the following, by the 15th of October 2015:
\n– the film\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s trailer (if such exists)
\n– film synopsis
\n– at least 2 stills from the film (10 x 15 cm ) B&W or colour
\n– picture of the nominated artist
\n– biography of the nominated artist<\/p>\n
