\nPersonal Performance, Video As Autobiography<\/p>\n
Video Out Distribution is seeking experimental or feature-length video work by artists that deploy the camera as a tool for self-interrogation. From video art\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s earliest history the camera has functioned as a self-reflexive device, an instrument for self-construction, presentation, and reflection. This call seeks works that possess an autobiographical component, particularly in the artists\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 use of themselves as the primary subject or image on screen. Videos for this call are also invited to experiment with forms of documentation that translate identity and engage in performances for the camera.<\/p>\n

Please send email submission s with the subject LastName_Autobiography by Tuesday, September 1st 2015.<\/p>\n Video Out Distribution is an international, non-exclusive distributor and is a part of VIVO Media Arts Centre located in Vancouver, British Columbia.
