{"id":6916,"date":"2016-01-26T09:57:05","date_gmt":"2016-01-26T07:57:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/netex.nmartproject.net\/?p=6916"},"modified":"2016-01-26T09:57:05","modified_gmt":"2016-01-26T07:57:05","slug":"call-matters-of-territoryies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/netex.nmartproject.net\/?p=6916","title":{"rendered":"call: Matters of Territory\/ies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline: 28 February 2016<br \/>\nCall for entries<\/p>\n<p>EYES ON EUROPE<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Matters of territory\/ies\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\nIn 2016, The Eyes launches EYES ON EUROPE, a call for proposals aimed at photographers, videographers, other visual artists, publishers.<br \/>\nOnce a year, the EYES ON EUROPE  project \u00e2\u20ac\u201c which aims at revealing what we might call Europeanity \u00e2\u20ac\u201c proposes to take a fresh outlook on Europe.<br \/>\nEYES ON EUROPE is inviting you to become the witnesses and actors of a moving, lively and manifold, curious and unprejudiced Europe.<br \/>\nEvery year, the Spring\/Summer issue of the magazine The Eyes (theeyes.eu), published during the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Rencontres d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Arles\u00e2\u20ac\u009d photography festival, will be dedicated to the chosen portfolios.<br \/>\nThe first issue of  EYE ON EUROPE will showcase twelve selected portfolios. In order to match the desired aesthetic and visual identity of The Eyes, the subjects will have to follow the theme:<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Matters of territory\/ies\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\n.<br \/>\nAs part of the EYES ON EUROPE  project, the twelve selected authors will benefit from high exposure:<br \/>\n><br \/>\n A portfolio in the magazine The Eyes (issue EYES ON EUROPE  in June 2016),<br \/>\n><br \/>\n A presentation at the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Rencontres internationales de la photographie d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Arles\u00e2\u20ac\u009d photography festival (July 2016),<br \/>\n><br \/>\n A dedicated space on The Eyes\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 website and associated social network pages.<\/p>\n<p>The EYES ON EUROPE prerequisites for participation are as follows:<br \/>\n><br \/>\n The EYES ON EUROPE  call for proposals is open to professional photographers, art and photography students, or artists of all nationalities,<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Candidates can submit a project in whatever image format they choose: photograph, video, book or dummy, digital art, etc. (multimedia or video submissions will be presented through augmented reality),<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Candidates may only submit one project, sent in digital format as a ZIP compressed file and titled as follows: Name of photographer_Name of project,<br \/>\n><br \/>\n For photography, the proposal should enclose between 10 and 20 pictures,<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Photographs should be sent as JPGs, videos or other animated supports as MOV or MP4, and dummies and books as PDF prototypes or JPG views,<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Proposals should also enclose the candidate\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s CV (PDF) and a description of their chosen subject (PDF),<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Candidates will allow The Eyes to publish their work in The Eyes\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 EYES ON EUROPE issue (June 2016), to use it as promotional material for the magazine\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s publication, and to present it in a projection at the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Rencontres d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Arles\u00e2\u20ac\u009d photography festival  (July 2016),<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Candidates are still the owners of their work and remain responsible for all associated publication rights (especially relating to image reproduction rights),<br \/>\n><br \/>\n By accepting the general terms and conditions, candidates acknowledge that their personal data will be used solely in the context of EYES ON EUROPE  and that no personal data shall be made available, passed or sold to any third parties or external persons.<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Proposals must be sent via e-mail to<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:eyesoneurope@theeyes.eu\">eyesoneurope@theeyes.eu<\/a><br \/>\n, by February 28th, 2016 at the latest.<br \/>\nThe selection process:<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Proposals will be received until February 28th, 2016 (included),<br \/>\n><br \/>\n The editorial board of The Eyes, accompanied by international professionals brought in for the 2016 edition of EYES ON EUROPE  will go through the selection process in March 2016,<br \/>\n><br \/>\n Candidates will be notified of which subjects were selected for EYES ON EUROPE two months before the review\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s publication.
