{"id":7059,"date":"2016-02-15T18:29:56","date_gmt":"2016-02-15T16:29:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/netex.nmartproject.net\/?p=7059"},"modified":"2016-04-03T15:39:41","modified_gmt":"2016-04-03T13:39:41","slug":"call-international-sound-artists-and-visual-artists-visualizing-the-sound","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/netex.nmartproject.net\/?p=7059","title":{"rendered":"call: International Sound Artists and Visual Artists | Visualizing the Sound"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Deadline 1 April 2016<\/strong><br \/>\nCall for entries<\/p>\n<p>WASP STUDIOS in co-production with 4Culture Association launches a call for projects and art concepts within Visualizing the Sound Program.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u017eFocusing on innovation, this project tends to cover a segment of contemporary art rarely frequented in Romania, trying to offer artists the creative impulse that can integrate the idea of sound art with the ability to produce, research and explore new technologies in terms of sound. The project brings together visual artists, composers and sound artists, and thus kicking off an innovative interdisciplinary platform on the local art scene.\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 Olivia Nitis and Ciprian Ciulea (curators).<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated to young artists or groups of artists passionate and interested in sound art, the program endorses proposals for the trans and interdisciplinary sound installations, reflecting the curatorial concept. Six selected proposals will be made and exposed at WASP \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Working Art Space and Production in Bucharest. A part of them will also be presented at the Contemporary Photography Centre in Iasi.<\/p>\n<p>The selected installations will be perfected and presented at WASP, each one being exhibited for two months in the period April \u00e2\u20ac\u201c September 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The applicants\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 projects should prove knowledge in the used technology, should be conceptually and materially plausible, respecting the budget limits allocated for each installation.<\/p>\n<p>The sound installations can integrate other media such as photography and video. Each of the selected artists will receive a production fee in the value of 400 EUR for project implementation.<\/p>\n<p>The organizer will provide accommodation, travel and daily fee in the amount of 25 EUR<\/p>\n<p>Application methods:<\/p>\n<p>Send us the application dossier containing:<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/11nD2x4tpZ0Xw42NJaYzkHKS0nDV-eWN4bNY88klrv8M\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Application form<\/strong><\/a>, completed and signed<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 CV (compulsory) and portfolio (selected projects, 5 pages max, pdf)<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 Other relevant attachments for the application, 5 pages max, pdf (detailed project description, photographs, documentations, sketches, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>*Video and sound material can also be sent only as sample \u00e2\u20ac\u201c dvd, mp3 or mp4 format, 2 minutes max.
