Collider 7 – Two Calls For Works (Video And Vr)<\/p>\n
Collider 7 [voxel] is the next iteration of our Collider exhibition series which will present works utilizing voxels, a computational 3D volume \u00e2\u20ac\u201c think 3D pixel! The vision for this iteration of Collider is to showcase the vast use of digitally created 3D pieces. The works utilize 3D printing, interactive 3D point clouds, virtual reality, and Tiny Cinema – showcasing shorts on 3D printed sculptures with 96px by 64px video screens. Immerse yourself in exploring this world of 3D in Collider 7 [voxel].<\/p>\n
Please use http:\/\/www.collider.co<\/a> for more information on our prior shows.<\/p>\n Collider 7 will be exhibited at both the University of Hawai\u00e2\u20ac\u02dci at Manoa \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Art Galleries- Common Gallery from August 28 – Sept 16, 2016 and at the University of Akron Emily Davis Gallery at the Myers School of Art during Spring 2017.<\/p>\n We have two active calls for Collider 7:<\/p>\n Tiny Cinema Tiny Cinema is an installation consisting of shorts on 3D printed sculptures with 96px by 64px video screens. The screens are at a 3:2 ratio. We are seeking video and animation shorts that in less than 2 minutes. It is up to you to find a way to convey the most effective way to tell your story on the tiny screen without sound. VR Artist Showcase<\/p>\n As part of Collider 7 [voxel] we would like to invite VR artists, filmmakers, and developers to submit their work for review. We will be showcasing the work on the Samsung Gear Hardware so please submit works that can run on this platform (mobile VR). We are open to the subject matter and format \u00e2\u20ac\u201c short film, game, experimental VR, etc. For games, we wo uld prefer an intro to your game, rather than the full game.<\/p>\n
