The call is for unusual audio projects that couple the radio medium with the potential of live performance or installation while also relating to the CTM 2017 Festival theme: FEAR ANGER LOVE.<\/p>\n<p>The call is open to artists in the fields of experimental music, sound art, radio art, new radio drama, and performance. The two commissioned works will premiere in the form of an installation or live performance at CTM 2017 Festival in Berlin (27 January \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 5 February 2017), and then be broadcasted in Deutschlandradio Kultur\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Klangkunst programme. The \u00c3\u2013sterreichischer Rundfunk (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) will subsequently present them via one or more of its platforms (depending on the character of the works): the \u00c3\u20131 Zeit-Ton or \u00c3\u20131 Kunstradio radio shows, and\/or (in Autumn 2017), the ORF musikprotokoll im steirischen herbst festival in Graz.<\/p>\n<p>Proposed projects must explore the potential of combining radio and live performance \/ installation within the FEAR ANGER LOVE thematic framework of CTM 2017. They will be presented as a live performance or installation as well as in the form of a 40\u00e2\u20ac\u201c55 minute radio broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to presenting their projects at CTM 17 respectively broadcasting them on Deutschlandradio Kultur, the selected applicants will be invited to round off the production phase with a 2-week short residency in Berlin, realised in cooperation with SoCCoS \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Sound of Culture, Culture of Sound, a network project funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>Last year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s winning projects, selected from over 300 entries, can be enjoyed once more in Autumn 2016. The radio play &#8220;All Hail Mother Internet&#8221; from Tunisian artist Deena Abdelwahed will be presented 9 October as part of the festival ORF musikprotokoll im steirischen herbst and broadcast live via the \u00c3\u20131 Kunstradio programme. The second piece, &#8220;GAD Technologies&#8221; by Marija Bozinovska Jones aka MBJ Wetware and J.G. Biberkopf, will be broadcast 18 September, also via \u00c3\u20131 Kunstradio.<\/p>\n<p>The call is not subject to geographical restrictions \u00e2\u20ac\u201c submissions from artists from all over the world are encouraged.
