Open Call For The Wrong Digital Art Biennale: Internet Fame<\/p>\n
The Internet based collective Clusterduck presents the open call \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Internet Fame\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. The call is part of the preparations for the upcoming The Wrong \u00e2\u20ac\u201c New Digital Art Biennale, which will be presented to the Press on October 1, and to the wider public on November 1, 2017. Selected participants will be invited to join the official pavilion \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Internet Fame\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, showing their works in a curated virtual space. Deadline for participant submissions is September 15, 2017.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Internet Fame\u00e2\u20ac\u009d intends to explore the implications of digitalization and platform capitalism for the concept of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Fame\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, while also reflecting upon the legacy of the concept within the art world. While examining the disruptive consequences of social media on traditional power structures \u00e2\u20ac\u201c within the art establishment and beyond \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the pavilion will also ponder the uncertain gro unds of a reality evermore enclosed by its own simulation.<\/p>\n
Clusterduck is an interdisciplinary collective working at the crossroads of research, design and filmmaking, focusing on the processes and actors behind the creation of internet related content. As part of an ongoing effort to realize a long feature documentary about digital creativity, it collaborated with several artists and institutions shaping the contemporary digital art world. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Internet Fame\u00e2\u20ac\u009d will be its first art exhibition project.<\/p>\n
