{"id":8379,"date":"2017-09-10T10:45:03","date_gmt":"2017-09-10T08:45:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/netex.nmartproject.net\/?p=8379"},"modified":"2017-12-01T00:04:23","modified_gmt":"2017-11-30T22:04:23","slug":"call-short-filmvideo-for-hospital-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/netex.nmartproject.net\/?p=8379","title":{"rendered":"call: Short film\/video for hospital project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline: 19 November 2017, 23:56 UTC+0<br \/>\nCall for entries<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nShort film\/video for hospital project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adam Castle, director of the Edinburgh Artists\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Moving Image Festival (EAMIF), is working with Ginkgo Projects to curate a selection of short films which will be form part of a film library to be shown in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children &#038; Department of Clinical Neurosciences in Edinburgh in order to<br \/>\ndistract, relax, engage or focus adult and child patients.<br \/>\nAll selected artists will be given \u00c2\u00a3150 (GBP) per film selected for the project. It is free to apply.<br \/>\nFilms will often be shown without sound so dialogue heavy films will not be so suitable. This is an opportunity to have your work form part of a vitally important project improving the experience of hospital patients, particularly children, young people and people with learning difficulties.<\/p>\n<p>For inclusion in the project the artist will provide NHS Lothian with a non-exclusive license for the films to be included in the film library permanently.<\/p>\n<p>Patients will be able to watch films projected on to the ceilings in the new Royal Hospital for Sick Children &#038; Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Edinburgh.<br \/>\nThis will help patients to take their mind of the often stressful or upsetting worries that can be caused by being in hospital.
