\nOpen Call for existing installations by Scottish-based artists
\nCryptic is seeking existing audiovisual installations by Scottish-based artists to be
\npresented as part of their biennial visual sonic arts festival, Sonica, which returns to
\nGlasgow from 31 October to 10 November 2019.<\/p>\n
\nReturning to Glasgow for its fifth edition, the award-winning festival will present cutting
\nedge work by international artists alongside emerging UK talent across the city from Thu 31
\nOctober \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Sun 10 November 2019. Since launching in 2012, the festival has presented over
\n800 events by 250 artists from six continents reaching audiences of over 160,000 people.

\nAll Scottish-based artists, regardless of age or stage in their career, are welcome to
\napply. Artists who are currently in higher or further education are not eligible (this does
\nnot apply to PHD students who can apply.)<\/p>\n
\n– A guaranteed fee of \u00c2\u00a3500 to cover time and labour for a one-day install and half-day
\nde-install of their existing installation, in line with the Scottish Artist Union\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 2019 rates of
\npay;
\n– Travel expenses for artists based out with Glasgow;
\n– Support in sourcing basic technical equipment where possible;
\n– Support for install\/de-install where possible;
\n– Venue hire, PR and marketing support;
\n– A platform for your work supported by an experienced, international arts company;
\n– An opportunity to participate in an international arts festival;
\n– An opportunity to build a new audience for your work;
\n– Valuable opportunities to develop networks alongside exceptional international and
\nemerging artists.<\/p>\n
