In Puerto Rico, we celebrate the longest Christmas in the world. We begin on Thanksgiving and end in mid-January in what we call the “Octavitas”. On the 6th of January, in a tradition adopted from Spain, we celebrate the day of the Three Wise Men, the children look for grass and place it in a box under their beds for when the kings arrive to leave their gift the camels eat. It is a beautiful day. Let’s paint and start a year full of emotion despite everything.
