Call For Artists Digital Works For Netpark Southend On Sea
NETPARK – First digital park in the world
Metal are looking to commission three artists – working from a starting point in any artistic discipline – to create a digital artwork for a public park in Southend on Sea. These commissions are part of the first phase of a larger project, to create NetPark. This is an exciting initiative developed by Metal to create a digital layer of new purpose built, site specific, digital artworks for Chalkwell Park in Southend-on-Sea.
The commissions are open to artists from all art-forms. Metal works in an inter-disciplinary way encouraging artists to experiment and blur boundaries. We do not expect artists to necessarily have advanced digital skills but we are interested in practitioners who can demonstrate how their work might translate into digital form within the ‘layer’ for the park.
