Cube Fest 2019 Immersive Media
Cube Fest 2019 is now accepting proposals. The festival will take place at the Moss Arts Center on the campus of Virginia Tech, from August 8 – 11, 2019.
Proposals are invited in three categories:
1) Music for High-Density Loudspeaker Arrays.
2) Immersive media for presentation on the Cyclorama, an immersive projection environment in the Cube, supporting stereoscopic video.
3) Proposals for an immersive multi-sensory experience in the Cube.
The deadlines for all proposals is February 15, 2019.
The Cube is a 4 story black box theater equipped with a 140+ loudspeaker massively multichannel high-density loudspeaker array, a 16′ tall 360 degree immersive projection screen, 24 optical motion capture cameras, and wireless virtual reality head mounted displays.
