THE FESTIVAL
MALDITO FESTIVAL de Videopoesía is an international videopoetic contest held in the city of Albacete (Spain) since 2017.
With the section International Videopoetry Contest we claim this discipline as an art that connects people, transmits feelings and stimulates different ways of seeing the world. It is also a small contribution of enormous people to promote visual art, preventing it from being marginal and cursed* (*Maldito).
The International Poetic Film Showcase is a manifestation of our commitment to artistic exploration, cultural diversity and the celebration of art in all its forms. We aim to provide a space for filmmakers from around the world to share their unique visions, exploring emotions, dreams, human experiences and the complexities of the world around us in a deeply personal and artistic way.
The festival is organised by the Asociación Cultural Maldito, a not-for-profit organisation made up of a small team of professionals from the film industry, poetry and culture in general.
