9th EDITION
MARSEILLE (FRANCE) / 21 – 28 NOVEMBER 2015
The Polly Maggoo association, organisers of the 9th Rencontres Internationales Sciences & Cinémas (RISC) / International Science & Film Festival, which will take place from November 21st to 28th 2015, is launching a call for entries.
All genres of films (documentary, fiction, experimental, video art, animation, etc.) whose subject is related to scientific topics (fundamental sciences, life sciences, environment sciences, medicine, humanities and social sciences, etc.) are eligible.
Films must be in their original language with french subtitles if the production is not French-speaking.
For the third year, we will organize a competition (for short and full-length films) with a Young Public Award and a Jury Award (with a jury made up of scientists, teachers and film professionals).
Preference shall be given to the most original approaches. Films submitted for the official selection must have been produced no earlier than January 1, 2014. Films produced prior to this date can be selected outside competition or during school screenings. In the framework of the International Year of Light, a special screening on this topic will be programmed.
