VAFA (Video Art For All) International Video Festival

“VAFA” (Video Art for All) is an International Video Art Festival organized in Macao by Orient Foundation and AFA, and the first VAFA was launched in 2010. The fourth “VAFA” in 2014 had showcased some masterpieces by famous artists, such as John Baldessari, Lawrence Weiner, Harun Farocki, William Wegman, Miranda July and Shelly Silver, which had created a new stimulation to the video art creation in Macao.

The fifth VAFA International Open Call is now open. The application form and regulations are now available on AFA website (www.afamacau.com). Interested artists are requested to submit the application form and video artworks before August 30. The organizer has invited jury composed of international video artists and curators. The Best Video and four merits will be chosen to be exhibited in Casa Garden. The winner of the Best Video will be rewarded USD$1,000 and will be invited to Macau to join the opening ceremony of the exhibition, and four merits will be rewarded USD$500. Since video art is an independent creation, there is no fixed criteria concerning the theme and form of the works.
