2nd Chinese Women Artists Video Art Festival
Mexico 2017

International Open Call to Chinese women artists in Guangdong and anywhere.
This 2017 celebrates the Year of Chinese Culture in Mexico, so we open this CALL to Chinese female artists working with video to be part of the Second Chinese Women Artists Video Art Festival to be hold in Mexico in August 2017.
After the successful first festival in 2015, 5célula -an international artists collective working to highlight the art made by women- will produce the Second Chinese Women Artists Video Art Festival, with a special program dedicated to Guangdong Province. This call is for artists living in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the rest of the world.
The Festival aims to bring your art to as many diverse publics as possible, so the screenings will be in the Digital Culture Centre and other venues in Mexico City and in the Amparo Museum in Puebla City. We would love you to share with us the different artistic discourses and issues you work with, as women with different personal backgrounds that share the same cultural roots. Your video art works will contribute to enrich the knowledge of Chinese women video art and Chinese female artists in a Western/male Art world.
