The ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST) is the premier international symposium for the presentation of new research results, systems, and techniques among researchers and developers concerned with augmented, virtual and mixed reality (AR/VR/MR, XR for short) software and technology. VRST 2018 will be held in Tokyo, Japan, hosted by Waseda University, from Wednesday, Nov. 28th to Saturday, Dec. 1st, 2018, conveniently scheduled before SIGGRAPH Asia 2018 in Japan.

Here are 9 reasons why you should attend:
1. Wonderful sessions and excellent papers: three keynote talks, 32 full papers,
10 short papers, 90 posters, 22 demonstrations.
2. Oral sessions will be on a single track, and we offer plenty of time for oral,
poster, demo and exhibition in order to deepen discussions throughout the symposium.
3. More than 18 sponsors have generously supported this event to ensure
the most successful and progressive future of XR.
4. Six speakers from the world’s leading companies will present their visions
and perspectives. There will also be a special talk by the planning and development
supervisor of the VR-ZONE on the first day.
5. State-of-the-art technologies will be shown at the 18 company booths.
6. Exciting welcome reception is planned at “VR ZONE SHINJUKU”.
Symposium participants will be given priority to enjoy all of the VR activities
from 7:00 pm-10:00 pm on Nov.28.
7. A banquet is scheduled at ballroom at Rihga Royal Hotel Tokyo
with special food, drink and performances.
8. Tokyo will cater to almost every curiosity. Nishi-Shinjuku, west of the station,
houses a forest of skyscrapers, while the east side is your access point for shopping,
dining and entertainment.
9. Special Japanese gifts will be given to all of the symposium attendees.
